Entry-Level Mail & Package Processor – Temp-to-Hire

LaborPRO Staffing is currently hiring Entry-Level Mail & Package Processors for a secure mail and package processing facility. These are entry-level, temp-to-hire positions with immediate start opportunities available.

No previous mail or package processing experience is required. We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working independently and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced processing environment.

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm (10-12 hours daily)

• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (10-12 hours daily)

Job Responsibilities

Employees may be responsible for:

• Scanning shipping and package labels

• Placing packages onto conveyor systems

• Removing packages from conveyor systems

• Sorting and routing packages to designated processing areas

• Verifying labels and package information for accuracy

• Performing repetitive scanning, sorting, and package-handling functions

• Standing for extended periods throughout the shift

• Maintaining productivity and accuracy while working independently

• Keeping assigned work areas clean and organized

• Following all company, facility, safety, security, and package-handling procedures

Employment & Security Requirements

Because this position involves work within a secure mail/package processing environment, applicants must meet all applicable employment and security requirements.

Applicants must:

• Successfully complete a criminal background check

• Successfully complete a drug screening

• Be eligible for employment verification through E-Verify

• Complete any required facility security and safety training

• Maintain compliance with applicable security procedures throughout the assignment

Qualifications

• No previous experience required – entry-level candidates are welcome

• Must be dependable and have good attendance

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday

• Ability to safely handle packages and perform basic physical warehouse duties

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Attention to detail when scanning and processing packages

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, sorting, mail processing, or package-handling experience is helpful but not required

Language Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required

• Basic English communication skills are preferred to understand work instructions, safety information, and security procedures
