Cable Installer

PeopleReady of Fort Walton Beach, FL is now hiring Cable Installers in Milton, FL! As a Cable Installer, you will travel with a construction team to various job sites to assist with new cable installations and perform preventive maintenance on existing systems. Travel and hotel accommodations are provided, and associates will receive a daily per diem while traveling. This is a great opportunity for someone with cable installation or related experience who enjoys hands-on work and is comfortable traveling as part of a team.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $22 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Cable Installer:

• Travel with the construction team to various job sites

• Assist with the installation of new cable systems

• Install, route, pull, secure, and organize cable according to project requirements

• Perform preventive maintenance on existing cable systems and related equipment

• Inspect cable and components for wear, damage, or potential issues

• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs as needed

• Use hand and power tools safely to complete installation and maintenance work

• Follow project specifications, work instructions, and established installation procedures

• Work closely with construction team members to complete projects safely and on schedule

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• 1-2 years of cable installation, construction, electrical, telecommunications, industrial installation, or related experience preferred

• Previous experience installing, pulling, routing, or maintaining cable preferred

• Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites as required

• Must be comfortable being away from home for extended periods based on project needs

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Ability to follow installation instructions, diagrams, and project specifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift

• Comfortable working in different job-site environments and conditions

• Ability to work effectively as part of a traveling construction team

• Strong attention to safety and detail

• Dependable and able to maintain a flexible schedule based on project needs

• Background check and Drug test required
